We as humans like to give. Now, the trend of giving has become so fashionable that everybody wants to donate. Here, we want to donate and post the pictures on social media. We wouldn’t normally help some needy around us. But we want to go to the ORPHANAGE.
The family takes the kid to celebrate his/her birthday in the orphanage. People want their kid to learn hardships of life by taking them to the orphanage. They are sure that their kid would learn all the lessons of life in one day by taking them there.
I wonder what must be going on in the mind of the orphan kid who is watching this birthday celebrations. Would he/she be happy that this kid/person is willing to celebrate his special day with them or would he be thinking that he isn’t as fortunate as him/her, and that he/she doesn’t have parents to celebrate his birthdays. And that he doesn’t have the money to afford a party.
If they want their kid to learn the lessons of life, why make the orphan more sad. Can’t they do that on any other day. Should it be only on birthdays?
Agreed that Orphans run on donations. Can’t we donate and not talk about it. Can’t we not take our kids to the orphanage on any other day and let them sit and talk to them leisurely. I’m sure its not very difficult, only If we try.
