Sambhrama 2015: 3-day cultural extravaganza set to begin on Oct 8

Bahrain: Under the patronage of the Indian Club, Papillon Restaurant will present “Sambhrama 2015” a mega cultural extravaganza from 8th to 10th October, 2015. Preparations are on in full swing for the 3 day event .

On Oct.8th, well- known playback singer, State Award Winner, Karnataka Kalashree Shri Ramesh Chandra and team would be enthralling the audience by paying tribute to the renowned playback singer Padmabhushana, Padmashri Shri K. J. Yesudas, who has contributed to the music industry over 5 decades rendering popular Kannada, Hindi, Tamil and Malayalam songs.

Local dance artists would be adding glamour to the event with their moves. The programme starts at 7.30 pm.

Many dignitaries from Karnataka too are expected to grace this event and they will be given a traditional welcome depicting the rich cultural heritage of Karnataka. The dignitaries will then light the lamp and inaugurate the 3 day event.

October 9th would be a special day for the lovers of Tulu drama. “Aajane Avondondu” a horror cum comedy tulu drama written and directed by talented local artist. Shri Karunakar Padmashali will be presented. He has in the past, written, directed and acted in several tulu plays and has created a niche for himself.

Artistes of the Kannada Sangha will be acting in this drama and the music will be provided by Shri Shashi Hejmadi, a renowned music director from Karnataka, who has been specially flown in for this event. The duration of this play will be for three and half hours and is scheduled to begin at 6 pm.

On the last day, i.e., October 10th, ace choreographer and dancer Vidushi Sahana Bhat, who will be coming all the way from Karnataka will be presenting classical dances as well as dance dramas along with talented local artistes.

This programme starts at 6pm. On this day, achievers in various fields will be honoured.

Mr. Anand Lobo is the main co-ordinator for “ Sambhrama 2015” and different Associations from Karnataka have contributed towards the success of this programme.

The entry to this 3 days event will be free and it will be an opportunity to relish the rich cultural heritage of Karnataka.   A release from the Coordinator says that more information on the programme can be had from  Anand Lobo on 39401279.
