Sullia – In a devastating road accident, four young men lost their lives when their car collided with a lorry on the Mani–Mysuru National Highway near Koyanadu in Madikeri taluk on Friday.
The deceased have been identified as Nihad, Rishan, and Rashib, all residents of Gonikoppal in Kodagu district. The identity of the fourth victim is yet to be officially confirmed.
The group was reportedly returning to their hometown from Ullal when the fatal collision occurred. The impact was so intense that all four occupants of the car died instantly.
The bodies have been shifted to Sullia Government Hospital for post-mortem and formalities. Kodagu police have visited the accident site and initiated an investigation to determine the cause of the collision.
Authorities are in the process of notifying the families of the deceased.
