Mangaluru: The Tulu film industry is set to witness a new release as ‘Nettherekere’, directed by Swaraj Shetty, will hit theatres across the coastal districts on August 29. Produced by Lanchulal KS under the banner of Astra Production, the movie promises a blend of commercial appeal and unique storytelling.
A different cinematic experience
Director Swaraj Shetty described Nettherekere as a fresh attempt at Tulu cinema, stating that the characters and storyline are distinctly different from regular commercial films. He has not only directed the film but also written the screenplay and dialogues, while playing the lead role himself.
Dishali Poojary plays the female lead, while multilingual star actor Suman Talmar features in a special role. Producer Lanchulal KS also appears in the film.
