Services like Gmail, Google Maps, Google Playstore, and even YouTube was down for some people.
Gmail users were greeted with a “Temporary Error” message that read, “We’re sorry, but your account is temporarily unavailable. We apologize for the inconvenience and suggest trying again in a few minutes. You can view the G Suite Status Dashboard for the current status of the service.”
According to a report by Independent, YouTube can still be accessed using the “Incognito Mode” on Chrome browser, but it is not possible to log in.
You can also browse YouTube if you are not logged into any specific account, the report adds.
According to Downdetector, YouTube, Google, Google Meet, Google Hangouts, Google Play and Gmail were down.
With Gmail, nearly 15 per cent faced problems with the website, 79 per cent had problems in logging in while 14 per cent mentioned messages issues.
Meanwhile, 52 per cent issued problems in watching videos, 39 per cent reported website related issue and 8 per cent issued log-in issue with YouTube.
The website further claimed that the aforementioned services are not only facing troubles in India but in many parts of the world including parts of Europe, the United States and more. However, many users in India are facing issues due to the outage.
More details awaited.
