National award winner Vijay Raghavendra is making his directorial debut with “Kismat”. The film, which was launched in 2015, has taken nearly 4 years to be released.
The release was delayed for many reasons, however, Vijay does not want to introspect and is confident of his product. He is sure that the film will do well at the box office
Vijay has not only directed the film, but has also produced it. “Kismat” is inspired by a Malayalam flick named “Neram” starring Nivin Pauly. Vijay has, however, said that he has made a lot of changes trying to adjust it to the backdrop of Karnataka. The film has already hit theatres and we will have to wait and see the audience’s reaction.
Vijay had never aimed to be a director. However, after winning the first season of Bigg Boss Kannada, he thought that this was the right time for him to step into the director’s shoes. Being in the film industry since his childhood days, he knows how the industry works. All these elements helped him direct a film, even though he has never worked in the direction department before.
