Every person has one or the other hobbies like collecting stamps or old coins etc but very few have this unique hobby of collecting vintage cars and show casing them , but here is one such person belonging to our own state.
Mr. Ahemed Kutti Hajji who has been successful in cultivating his hobby into a dream museum, of rare and vintage cars.
Spread over two acres of land, has more than 85 cars which are about 70 to 80 yrs old. This amazing car museum is located at Abhaythmangala which is 3 km from Siddapur , Koorg.
The highlight of this museum is that there are cars ranging from the period 1926-1965 for display and most of them are in great working condition and one can also go for a joy ride in them.
Not just Vintage cars, the museum also showcases old Scooters and Bikes as well.This Unique museum has been visited and acknowledged by national and international tourists.
Locally known as “King of Vintage cars”, Mr. Ahemed is a mechanic by profession and has participated in many vintage car rallies and exhibitions in different parts of the country.
Besides just seeing the old and rare cars this museum also provides ample of knowledge about them especially for children,which is more benefiting.
Mr. Ahemed Kutti Hajji added that, if supported by government or any other organization, this museum can get more recognition not only in India but overseas as well.
