The legendary BSA brand has made a bold return with the launch of the all-new Bantam 350, entering the competitive 350cc motorcycle segment. Unveiled at the Bike Shed Moto Show in London, this neo-retro motorcycle draws heavy inspiration from the Jawa 42 FJ, sold in India since 2023.

Though revealed for the UK market, the Bantam 350’s design and underpinnings reveal a strong connection to Indian motorcycles. Built on the same platform as the Jawa 42 Bobber, the Bantam 350 carries forward several aesthetic cues from its Indian sibling. It features an all-black treatment on the engine, exhaust, and alloy wheels. The round headlamp and sporty-retro design lend it a classic yet modern appeal.

Notable British nods include the Union Jack emblem on the fuel tank and the “Three Gun Salute” badge on the crankcase, reinforcing its heritage.

The Bantam 350 is offered in five eye-catching colours: Avalon Grey, Oxford Blue, Firecracker Red, Barrel Black, and Victor Yellow.

On the mechanical front, the bike uses telescopic front forks and twin rear shock absorbers. It sports 18-inch front and 17-inch rear alloy wheels wrapped in tubeless tyres. Braking is managed by a 320mm front disc and 240mm rear disc, with dual-channel ABS for added safety.

Powering the Bantam is a 334cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine, delivering 29 bhp at 7,750 rpm and 29.62 Nm of torque at 6,000 rpm, paired with a 6-speed gearbox.

Its launch in India hasn’t been confirmed, but it’s likely to be a strong rival to the RE Hunter 350 if introduced.
