Udaipur: In a potentially disastrous incident, the vigilant loco pilots of Train No 20977 Udaipur-Jaipur Vande Bharat averted a major accident at KM no158/18 in Gangarar-Soniyana section. The train came to a sudden halt due to the presence of ballast and two rods, each one foot long, placed on the track by unknown individuals.
The incident occurred around 09:55 hrs within the jurisdiction of RPF/post/Bhilwara, falling under the supervision of SHO/Gangarar in Chittorgarh district. Quick action was taken by the loco pilot, who applied emergency brakes to prevent a potential disaster.
The site was inspected by DSC/Ajmer, IPF/Bhilwara, Sr Section Engineer/Gangarar, and local police. Investigations are ongoing with both RPF and District Police delving into the matter to determine the culprits behind this dangerous act.
