Tesla’s latest innovation isn’t just on the road—it’s now on your plate. Elon Musk’s Tesla Diner, a retro-futuristic eatery and drive-in movie theatre, has officially opened on Santa Monica Boulevard, Los Angeles.
Blending classic American diner vibes with futuristic Tesla tech, the two-storey diner features robot servers, Cybertruck-style food trays, and an immersive drive-in movie experience. Guests in Tesla vehicles can order food directly through their car screens, while audio from the massive 45-foot movie screens syncs seamlessly with in-car sound systems.
The menu delivers nostalgic comfort food: burgers, wings, hot dogs, and hand-spun milkshakes. Inside, Tesla’s Optimus humanoid robot was spotted serving fresh popcorn, adding to the sci-fi ambiance.
The location includes 80 Superchargers, making it a perfect recharge spot for both car and customer. Described by tech influencer Jacklyn Dallas as a “paradise for tech lovers”, the space has already drawn enthusiastic crowds.
Elon Musk, who first hinted at the idea back in 2018, visited the diner on July 14, 2025, and praised his team’s work. “It’s one of the coolest spots in LA,” he wrote on X (formerly Twitter).
Construction on the diner began in late 2023, and its official launch marks yet another step in Musk’s vision of merging lifestyle, technology, and transportation into one sleek, electrified package.
