Seven people died and several others were injured in a random public firing in Michigan on Saturday
night, according to the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety.
“We seem to be dealing with a worst-case scenario, someone driving around shooting,” Kalamazoo County Undersheriff Paul Matyas told a local news channel after the shootings.
A suspect aged about 50 years was detained.
According to local media, five people were shot dead at a Cracker Barrel restaurant in Texas Township, and two more died at a Seelye Kia dealership in Kalamazoo. The victims’ identities were not released.
No motive for the seemingly random attacks had been determined.
