Indian singer Pratheek Kuhad was noticed for his 2015 debut album In Tokens and Charms. However, 2019 is going to end at an even higher note for the singer, whose music has been listed by none other than former US President Barack Obama in his favourite music list of 2019.
Obama announces his favourite music every year and taking to Twitter, the former US President put out his list for 2019 and wrote: “From hip-hop to country to The Boss, here are my songs of the year. If you’re looking for something to keep you company on a long drive or help you turn up a workout, I hope there’s a track or two in here that does the trick.”
The list had a pleasant surprise as Pratheek Kuhad too features in the list along with international music icons.
Elated to see his name in the list, Prateek shared Obama’s list on Twitter and wrote, “This just happened and I don’t think I’ll sleep tonight. Totally flipping out. I have no idea how cold/mess even reached him but thank you @barackobama, thank you universe I didn’t think 2019 could’ve gotten better, but damn was I wrong. What an honour.”
Cold/Mess was a big hit and it starred Bollywood actor Jim Sarbh. He tweeted saying, “Credit where credit is due: @prateekkuhad and also… perhaps…. @gai_dar @zyhssn.”
