Mangaluru: MLA Kamath initiated the construction of a drain at a cost of Rs. 30 Lakh in Pragatinagar of Kankanady Ward under Mangaluru City Corporation.
Speaking on the occasion, the MLA said that Pragatinagar Association President has laid the foundation stone for the work. Therefore, the residents here should not again face any problem during the rainy season. The water should flow smoothly,” he noted.
He said that work on a well-equipped storm water drain is being carried out for the same. “There is no discrimination in development works. The Government is providing all facilities to Mangaluru City. We are working towards developing Mangaluru as a model City in the country by the end of 2023,” Kamath said.
Apart from this, BJP State President Nalin Kumar Kateel and Minister Sunil Kumar will lay foundation stone for several development works worth Rs. 500 Crore at Kudmul RangaRao Town Hall in the City at 5.30 pm on March 5. The MLA also informed that several works from Netravati River environment to Sultan Battery will be taken up under this grant.
