Mangaluru: “The purpose of training is to tighten up the slack, toughen the body and polish the spirit” Morihei Ueshiba. Lourdes Central School organised a financial literacy and use of digital tools seminar for the entire staff along with the other three schools on Jan 27 from 2: 30 to 4:30 p.m. in their audio-visual room.
The seminar commenced at 2:30 pm by invoking god’s blessings, the Introduction of the resource person and a welcome address by Rev Fr Robert D Souza, Principal. The seminar was inaugurated by lighting a lamp.
CA Nagaraj Sharma K, the resource person of the day gave an effective talk along with activities which reflected the knowledge of the usage of digital tools in financial transactions. He shared awareness of the importance of the use of digital tools in daily transactions.
It was truly an eye-opening experience for all the participants. The valuable insights helped the participants to be more productive. The PowerPoint presentation on retirement planning, term cover requirement, inflation rates over the years, mutual funds, and various types of savings in the bank enlightened all the attendees.
The two-hour seminar came to an end with a vote of thanks. Overall there was an atmosphere of learning and appreciation.
