Mangaluru: Mangaluru South MLA B. Vedavyas Kamath has said that three rooms of Gandhi Nagar Higher Primary, which have been upgraded by Dakshina Kannada Zilla Panchayat, have been sanctioned.
He was speaking after handing over three steel shelves donated by the Dakshina Kannada District Working Journalists’ Association with the help of donors to the Upgraded Gandhi Nagar Higher Primary School by Dakshina Kannada Zilla Panchayat on Saturday September 24.
Mangaluru City Corporation (MCC), which is emerging as a smart city, is focusing on the development of basic amenities in various areas, including schools, he noted.
Dakshina Kannada District Working Journalists’ Association President Srinivas Nayak Indaje, General Secretary Jitendra Kundeshwara, Vice-President Bhaskar Rai Katta, Treasurer Pushparaj B. N., State Executive Committee Member Ibrahim Adkasthala, District Executive Committee Member Rajesh Daddangadi and other office-bearers were present.
