After entering the Palam Air Force station with forged documents, a man from Delhi was taken into custody. The man was apprehended while posing as an Air Force Wing Commander inside the high-security area. The explanation is that he desired to receive care at the Air Force Dental Hospital.
The accused was apprehended by Air Force Station security personnel on February 21st evening while attempting to enter the premises without authorization. After successfully breaching one security perimeter, the intruder was quickly captured by Air Force personnel when they reached a second layer of protection.
After apprehending the intruder, the Air Force personnel reported the incident to the Delhi Police. Vinayak Chadda, a 39-year-old resident of Malakganj, South West Delhi, has been named as the accused.
Chadda was found in possession of five fake identification documents during the arrest. During questioning, the imposter claimed that he wanted to get treatment at the Air Force Dental Hospital, hence his attempt to gain access using counterfeit identification.
Deputy Commissioner Rohit Meena said, “We take security breaches very seriously, especially when it involves sensitive establishments like the Air Force. The prompt action by our forces and collaboration with the Air Force personnel ensured the immediate apprehension of the suspect.”
