The deceased victim’s husband, Mahiram, was found to be the culprit; the two had allegedly been living apart for the previous two years. According to reports, the offender entered Bishnoi’s shop, and after they got into a fight, Mahiram shot his wife to death. Police are looking for the accused because they have been on the run.
The CCTV footage shows the woman talking to a man, later identified as her husband Mahiram, while seated on a chair behind a corner. Afterwards, an altercation breaks out between the two. The man pulled a gun and opened fire on the influencer at close range, quickly escalating the altercation.
The gun jammed after the first shot, as can be seen, and the husband is seen attempting to reload it after striking Bishnoi in the neck. Despite being rushed to the hospital, Bishnoi’s death was ruled as a result of the bullet wound to her neck.
The incident occurred on February 25, according to police, and a team arrived at the scene after it was reported to the media. Mahiram ran away from the scene and is currently evading police who are trying to find him.
There is another video of Bishnoi circulating on the internet that is allegedly her final video taken before her horrific murder. She is seen interacting with those around her while carrying a child in the video.
Bishnoi had over 116k followers on Instagram and was a well-known influencer on the platform. She was a mother of two and a businesswoman operating a women’s collection boutique.
Police informed that she had been living separately from her estranged husband for two years and an altercation must have broken out at her shop moments before her murder due to an ongoing dowry case against her husband in the court.
