Vijayapura: The District Police here have arrested seven accused involved in inter-state robbery and have seized assets worth Rs. 16.10 lakh from the accused.
Among the arrested five are from the district and the other two are from Akkalakote, Maharashtra. The seven have confessed to have involved themselves in 11 robberies that includes 7 robberies in the district, 2 in Bagalakot District, and 1 in Belagavi District.
This apart, they have been involved in robberies at Maharashtra too. The police have seized 356 grams of gold jewelleries, 200 GM’s of silver jewelleries, wares, one mobile and Bolero vehicle used for the acts.
