Bengaluru: Congress has appointed 11 new party leaders to the Karnataka Pradesh Election Committee on Monday December 19.
The appointments happen ahead of the Assembly elections where the Congress hopes to defeat the BJP.
According to a statement from the party, “Congress President has approved the proposal for including additional names in the Pradesh Election Committee for the upcoming Assembly elections in Karnataka-2023, with immediate effect.”
B. L. Shankar, Parameshwar Naik, Umashree, Ramesh Kumar, Ramanath Rai, H M Revanna, and A M Hindasgeri are among those on the Pradesh Election Committee.
The Committee also includes state Congress leaders Zameer Ahmed, Shivanand Patil, Sharanabasappa Gouda Darshanapur, and Sharan Prakash Patil.
