Bengaluru: Hindu outfits protest, book launch cancelled

Bengaluru: The launch of a Kannada book based on Former Cricketer and Pakistan Former Prime Minister Imran Khan was called off following protests by some Hindu outfits in the City here.

Sudhakar S. B. authored book titled Imran Khan Ondu Jeevanta Danta Kathe was scheduled to be launched on the evening of Thursday October 27 by the retired High Court Judge Justice H. N. Nagamohan Das.

However, Hindu outfits members lodged a complaint with Minister for Kannada and Culture, V. Sunil Kumar opposing the same. Subsequently, the police requested the organisers to halt the book launch, and later cancel it.
