Bengaluru: A landslide that occurred at Surikumeru (NH 75) on the Mangaluru – Bengaluru road on Monday July 11 has disrupted traffic movement.
According to sources, the landslide happened as a result of the hillock being partially dug for the widening of highway lanes on either side. The past week’s torrential rains are another reason for the landslide.
Traffic movement was affected for a while as a huge load of mud had fallen onto the road.
Following this, locals helped clean the mud off one side of the road so that just one side of the road could be used by vehicles.
