Bengaluru: Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) Working President Saleem Ahmed said that Congress plans to organise the minority and Backward Classes convention meetings in five regions in January 2023. He said that the failure of the government, corruption and unemployment, among other issues, will be highlighted by leaders as they visit 150 Assembly constituencies in the first week of January.

“The conventions will be conducted in Hubballi on January 2 and Vijayapura on December 30. Vijayapura’s convention will focus on the Krishna Project, he said.

Saleem said that at least 55 community leaders attended the meeting with minority community leaders on Tuesday December 13, where discussions were held regarding the removal of names from the minority community’s voter list. Saleem also denied discussing the appointment of a Muslim as Chief Minister.
