Bengaluru: Devanahalli MLA Nisarga Narayanaswamy and JD (S) workers staged a protest by planting saplings in the potholes in the roads around Devanahalli Town on Tuesday November 8. Narayanaswamy alleged that despite several complaints, the government is least interested in approving grants to repair potholes on the road that connects to Kolar Road.

They brought paddy saplings to plant in potholes and the protesters briefly blocked the road.  They raised slogans against the District Administration for doing nothing despite several accidents that had happened there recently.

According to sources, residents claimed that several bikers and students had been injured.

The MLA also criticised the fact that despite his demands for government grants, none were granted. He, therefore, decided to protest in this way.

According to sources, students, factory workers, and some airport employees also took part in the protest, accusing the government of failing to maintain the roads near the Kempegowda International Airport.
