Bengaluru: #WeStandWithDhananjaya has become trending on social media with pro-Kannada organisations raising voices in support of Dali Dhananjaya, who received a good response for his latest release Head Bush.
Several BJP leaders stirred up controversy by claiming that the movie insults the folk dancing form Veeragase.
Kannada and Culture Minister V. Sunil Kumar added to the controversy by suggesting changes if the allegations are true.
In a tweet, Sunil Kumar stated that it is the responsibility of everyone not to insult the Kannada folk formats.
Now, pro-Kannada organisations rallying behind Dhananjaya and film. Actor Prakash Rai also supported Dhananjaya and the movie.
Meanwhile, Dhananjaya clarified that he is a devotee of Lord Shiva and that this film is in no way insulting the Veeragase.
