Bengaluru: A specialist police unit to tackle Love Jihad will be formed, said Home Minister Araga Jnanendra.
According to sources, the Hindu Janajagruti committee submitted an appeal to the Home Minister at his residence.
The committee demanded the establishment of a special police unit since it was stated that even though there are laws prohibiting religious conversion, love jihad is still rampant.
They alleged that the Shahin gang is active in five districts in the State and that some Madarasas and Moulvis are also supporting these atrocities.
