Chitradurga: A surge in cyber fraud cases targeting unsuspecting individuals has been observed recently. However, in a concerning incident in Hosadurga, thieves smashed the car’s window and made off with Rs 10 lakh found inside. Muddappa, a farmer from Lakkihalli village, had withdrawn the money from the bank and left it in the vehicle.
After visiting a roadside shop, Muddappa returned to find that two motorcycle-borne individuals had stolen the bag and fled. These thieves had been monitoring the farmer’s activities before committing the crime. The entire incident was captured on CCTV, and the video has since gone viral. The city’s residents express concern over the brazen daylight theft.
