Bengaluru: BJP spokesperson and former minister C.T. Ravi on Thursday, said that Chief Minister’s media adviser Dinesh Amin Mattu should be appointed as the head of “beef-eating commission.”
C.T. Ravi criticised Dinesh Amin Mattu for consuming beef at a protest rally and stated that it was against the Constitution under the anti-cow slaughter Act.
Speaking to reporters here on Thursday, C T Ravi said that being a representative of the state government Dinesh Amin Mattu acted against the state government, adding that though the media adviser was drawing salary from the state government, he was instigating people to eat beef.
Ravi said that the decision of the state cabinet to scrap the cattle protection commission was undemocratic and unconstitutional, but the Chief Minister could constitute a beef-eating commission and appoint Dinesh Amin Mattu as its president and professor Siddaramaiah as its director. “Mattu was capable to give enough publicity in the state to eat beef and advise people to do so”, he said.
Ravi also added that the Congress government had already lost its moral right to seek votes on the basis of development activities in the state.
