Bengaluru: Primary and Secondary Education Minister B. C. Nagesh said that Bhagavad Gita is not a religious text but a moral book unlike Quran and Bible. Thus it can be included in the school syllabus, he noted.
He said this reacting to the Archbishop of Archdiocese of Bangalore Peter Machado who had pointed at Bhagavad Gita and said that if the same can be considered inducement to convert to Hindu religion.
