Bengaluru: Governor of Karnataka Vajubhai Rudabhai Vala had undergone a heart bypass surgery at Fortis Hospital (South) on Monday, November 25.
Dr Vivek Jawali, chairman and chief of cardiothoracic surgery, Fortis Hospital (South) has informed that the Governor will be discharged soon, as he has been responding to the treatment positively.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa has taken to Twitter writing, “I have met the Honourable Governor Sri Vajubhai Vala at the hospital and assessed his health condition. I pray to God for his speedy recovery.”

It can be recalled that the Governor had visited the hospital in the first week of November for an angiogram. Seeing his reports, the doctors had recommended a coronary bypass surgery with regular monitoring of his diet by the doctors themselves.
He was, therefore, unable to make it to the Conference of Governors held in Delhi on November 23 and 24. He had skipped his visit to the National Institute of Technology-Karnataka (NITK) Surathkal and several other scheduled programmes.
