Bengaluru: Dasara holidays for schools in Dakshina Kannada District have been revised, informed Minister for Primary and Secondary Education B. C. Nagesh. He issued an order in this regard specifying that holidays are from September 26 to October 10 for schools in the district.
The order said that Gandhi Jayanti will be observed on October 2 at schools and that the changes were made to facilitate the celebration of Mangaluru Dasara.
However, Udupi and other districts will continue to observe Dasara as usual. These districts’ schools will be closed from October 3 until October 16.
