Bengaluru: Veteran Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) functionary V Nagaraj on Friday described Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan as a goonda and first accused in many murder cases.

Speaking with media persons, Nagaraj said that Communists started violence in Kerala against not only the RSS activists but also others who did not agree with their ideology. “What else can Pinarayi Vijayan say who has been declared himself as a goonda and first accused in many murder cases? Government records and various judicial and police reports clearly established the fact that the Communists started violence in Kerala, not only against RSS, but also against those who did not accept their ideology,” Nagaraj told reporters here.

Vijayan, on October 19, had targeted BJP and RSS for the violence in the politically volatile Kannur district in Kerala by saying that the saffron party and its outfits were “deliberately” causing breach of peace in the northern district.

Nagaraj further said the Communists hardly realise the method of indulging in violence, brainwashing and hoodwinking will not fructify, as they won’t make any impact on people. “Indulging in violence, brainwashing and hoodwinking, is the method of Communists, but they don’t know it does not work anymore,” he said.

Nagaraj also called upon Kerala and Union Government to take appropriate action urgently against the perpetrators of violence and necessary measures to ensure rule of law in Kerala. “Actually the law and order is a state subject, but when the killings are of terrorist dimensions in various states including Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka, we request the central government also to pitch in because it threatens the integrity of the country,” he said.

Asked about RSS opposition to Genetically Modified crops of certain varieties, Nagaraj said the outfit would oppose it unless some trials are taken place and an opinion is given thereafter. “Unless some trials are taken place and an opinion is given, we want to oppose it (GM crops) and should not be brought into the country,” the RSS functionary said.

Moreover, the products of Monsanto have not only been opposed by India, but also by many western countries like France and Germany, because nobody knows what would be the long-term outcome of it, Nagaraj said.
