Bengaluru: A heinous murder occurred within the jurisdiction of Subramanyapura police station, involving Pratima (37), the deputy director of the Mines and Geology Department. Pratima, who had separated from her husband, resided independently in Kuvempunagar, Doddakallasandra, Subramanyapura. On the evening of November 4, her husband and son forcibly entered her residence and then fled the scene.

Pratima returned to her residence in a department vehicle at 8 pm on Saturday. Later that evening, she conversed with her brother over the phone. The following morning, neighbors made the grim discovery of the murder after entering her home. Notably, no items were reported as stolen from Pratima’s residence, and initial evidence points toward a deliberate act of murder.
