Bengaluru: State BJP president B S Yeddyurappa will lead a delegation to seek Governor Vajubhai Vala’s intervention for a quick and fruitful probe into the murder case of RSS and BJP worker Rudresh.
The delegation will meet the Governor on Friday and submit a memorandum expressing concern over the continued killings of RSS and BJP workers in the state and failure of the police to nab the killers. Jagadish Shettar, R Ashoka and K S Eshwarappa who will be a part of the delegation will request the governor to instruct the government to speed up the investigation.
In a related development, BJP state general secretary C T Ravi has requested a NIA probe into the murder case. He has written a letter to Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh about the same.
Ravi said that the State government and Bengaluru police are trying to blame some domestic disputes as the reason for the murder of Rudresh. “The way the investigation in the matter is being conducted is not satisfactory. A probe by the NIA or CBI is needed as certain radical Islamic groups and other organisations banned by the Union Home Ministry seem to be involved in the murder,” added Ravi.
