Bengaluru: In support of the nationwide chakka jam organised by farmers across the nation over the three farms laws, some roads in Bengaluru were blocked.

Farmers were seen waving green flags and stopping the free flow of traffic at various venues in Yelahanka New Police Station Circle, Sadahalli Gate, Mysore Bank Circle, and Devanahalli Road. Several protestors including pro-Kannada leader Vatal Nagaraj were detained by the police for blocking traffic.

In solidarity, a representative from Karnataka has reached the Ghazipur border near Delhi to join the protestors at the Centre.

Kodihalli Chandrashekhar, leader of the Karnataka Rajya Raitha Sangha, Hasiru Sene assured that until the three bills are retracted, farmers from Karnataka are going to continue to lend their support. After February 6, close to 4, 000 Karnataka farmers are expected to join the protest in Delhi.

He also added that farmers are travelling to the Centre in batches to avoid attempts to bring down mass movements by the government. He also mentioned that the farmers’ situation in Singhu and Tikri borders is much worse than at the Ghazipur border.
