Bengaluru: Veteran Kannada actor, producer, and director Dwarkish will be laid to rest with state honors. Chief Minister Siddaramaiah paid his respects at the Ravindra Kalakshetra in Bengaluru on Wednesday, where Dwarkish’s mortal remains were kept for public viewing.
Speaking to reporters after paying his respects, the CM said Dwarkish did a great service to the Kannada language through his movies. Despite witnessing ups and downs in his life, Dwarkish continued to produce films and contribute to the growth of the Kannada cinema industry.
The CM recalled an opportunity he had to travel with the late actor, where they discussed various topics ranging from politics to cinema. Siddaramaiah hailed the noble act of the actor who donated his eyes after death.
