Karwar: A farmer ended up losing his hard-earned money to pickpockets who skillfully managed to flick Rs 1 Lakh that he was carrying at the BJP Parivarthan Rally held at Mundgod on November 16.
The victim, Manjunath who happens to be a farmer cum BJP activist had joined the thousands of people attending the rally organised at Malavalli village.
However, very soon Manjunath was left aghast as he ended up losing the money he was carrying after selling his maize yield.
Manjunath who was attempting to have a selfie clicked with BJP State President B S Yeddyurappa on his mobile ended up being an easy target for the pickpockets who made away with his cash. A teary-eyed Manjunath was seen crying and explaining the incident to people gathered around.
A case stands registered at Mundgod Police Station.
