Karwar: Demand for Sirsi District brought into CM’s notice

Karwar: Speaker Vishweshwar Hegde Kageri said that the public opinion on making Sirsi a District from the point of view of development has been brought to the notice of the Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai.

Speaking at the inauguration of a Labour Insurance Clinic in Sirsi of the District on Tuesday December 6, he said, “There is a demand for a separate District of Sirsi. The City has also grown a lot. Yadgir, Koppal, Gadag, Haveri and Udupi Districts have already been formed and there is a demand that Sirsi has to declared as a District. He said that the Government will respond at the right time and will respect the sentiments of the people.

Speaking on the occasion, Labour Minister Shivaram Hebbar said, “We are also keeping a watch on the mafia who recommend treatment elsewhere and not in the hospital of the department.
