Byndoor MLA denied ticket, backlash from party workers

Kundapur: In the wake of MLA B M Sukumar Shetty being denied ticket from Byndoor assembly constituency, byndoor mandal presidents and office-bearers and activists met MP B Y Raghavendra in Shivamogga on Wednesday and demanded byndoor ticket.

The office-bearers are said to have questioned the MPs as to why they ignored MLA B M Sukumar Shetty, who has a run with the people of the constituency without any kind of black spot. The activists urged the MP to give ticket to MLA B M Sukumar Shetty, who had put in a lot of hard work to develop the backward Byndoor constituency. Responding to the views of the office-bearers of Byndoor constituency, the MPs are said to have responded that they would be brought to the notice of national leaders.

His fans shared their opinion on the MLA’s work saying that the MLA’s have not only put in a lot of effort to strengthen the party by organising a series of rallies in byndoor assembly constituency but have also made a special effort to deliver the government’s people-oriented works door-to-door through the manual. B M Sukumar Shetty’s fans have expressed their anger against the party for denying him the ticket. More than 100 office-bearers of various morchas of the mandal, including Byndoor mandal president Deepak Kumar Shetty, and more than 300 activists met the MP in Shivamogga and pressed for a ticket for B M Sukumar Shetty.
