Mangaluru: In Mangaluru, the Third Additional and JMFC Court issued a stay on Thursday regarding an application calling for the survey of the Malali Mosque. The plea was initiated by Dhananjaya and others.
During the proceedings, the mosque’s advocate highlighted that they had received an order from the Karnataka High Court on the same day. The order mandated an inquiry to validate the mosque’s claim as a property under the Waqf Board. Emphasizing the importance of adhering to the High Court’s directive, the advocate argued for its implementation.
Considering the advocate’s argument, the Third Additional and JMFC Court emphasized the significance of following the High Court’s order. Consequently, it stayed the hearing of the plea demanding the mosque’s survey submitted by Dhananjaya and others. The court clarified that their plea could only be entertained after the completion of the inquiry related to the Waqf Board.
