Mangaluru: The residents of Mangalore have recently been facing issues with water supply, which has now become a challenge for the past three days. This happened when the water pipeline disrupted sometime back, bringing water supply in the city to a stop.
The situation has affected a number of areas in the city, as the pipeline was responsible for carrying water right from the Thumbe dam to the Bendoorwell pumphouse.
The damage was at Nagore somewhere in the middle of a construction activity. The repair work on Tuesday morning had stopped water supply in the city for a while. However, this was only till 12.30 at night, after which water supply resumed.
But the damage that took place in Nagori once again brought water supply to a stop. While the damaged water pipelines are now undergoing repair, residential complexes are now depending on water tankers for their daily water supply.
Officials state that the repairs will be made by Friday, after which water supply will resume throughout the state.
