Mangaluru: A revolutionary mobile application developed by a city based IT solutions company can be the future of sharing mobile contacts. “MyShaDOTM”’ is a digital phone diary which stands for “My Shared Data Organizer” helps users receive, send and share contacts secured by encryption.
“MyShaDOTM” developed by four young entrepreneurs of 4EdgeIT Solutions is aiming at replacing “phone contacts” in smart phones in the coming days. The main feature of this app is that the database is fully encrypted, keeping personal data safe. Personal profile data can be shared with people who only the user wishes to after a request is sent.
Girish Aithal, Harimurthy Ballal, Narasimha Shenoy and Krishna Prakash D are four partners in the management team of 4Edge IT Solutions. Addressing the media on Thursday, November 24, Girish Aithal said, “The app is simple to use and works on encrypted database making it immune to hacker attacks. The app was released on the first week of October, tried and tested among our friends. We are also planning on adding new features to the app in the days to come.”
Features of ‘MyShaDOTM’
The app is just a 3.1 MB file which can be downloaded within a matter of one or two seconds at 4G speed. After sign-up, the data of each user will be saved as his/her ShaDO. The app holds data like username, full name, date of birth, gender, profession, marital status, contact details (mobile, office numbers and email ID), address (correspondence and permanent) and family details (father, mother, spouse and children). Of course, one cannot add children’s details if the same person is unmarried.
Once data is filled and the personal ShaDO is created, the user can accept another ShaDO or send theirs to any other user which can be searched by name. Out of all the details added in the user’s personal ShaDO, he/she can choose what information to share with another user. For instance if a person chooses not to disclose address or phone number and only share their email ID, it is possible on MyShaDO app.
MyShaDO is also made easy to operate and transfer contacts. After exchanging and approving ShaDOs between users, their contact will automatically be saved on each other’s devices. And when a ShaDO undergoes changes in data, it is automatically updated on all the same ShaDO’s contacts when the user connects to the internet. There is also an “unshare” option which can be used at the will of any user if they feel like.
Apart from the notification facility that MyShaDO app provides, portability from one device and retrieving contacts is made a walk in the park. A simple login from the new device will bring the contacts to the new phone. The ShaDOs can also be shared as MMS, copied to clipboard or shared on various other apps like WhatsApp, Line etc.
Apple and Windows phone users may have to wait for a while since the app is only available on Android platform. The app can be downloaded on Google Play Store by searching “myshado” or follow this directlink.
