Mangaluru: The Dakshina Kannada District Congress staged a protest in front of the Mini Vidhana Soudha in Hampanakatte on Saturday March 4 to protest against the Central Government’s decision to hike cooking gas prices.
During the protest, party workers made chapatis using choola and shouted slogans against the BJP Government, saying the time has come to send chapatis to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai and wood to Home Minister Amit Shah.
Former Minister Abhayachandra Jain, Former MLAs Ivan D’Souza, J. R. Lobo, Moideen Bava, Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committe General Secretary Mithun Rai, Inayat Ali, Dakshina Kannada District Women Congress President Shalet Pinto, Dakshina Kannada District Youth Congress President Luqman Bantwal and others participated in the protest.
