Mangaluru: Higher Education Minister Dr. Ashwath Narayan said that when Siddaramaiah was in power in the State in the past, the Lokayukta’s powers were curtailed only for the sake of corruption. Appeasement, misuse of power and family politics were the achievements of the Congress, he mocked.
He was speaking at the valedictory function held at Kalladka Sri Rama Mandira after the 5th day of the ‘Grama Vikasa Yatra’ led by Bantwal BJP MLA Rajesh Naik Ulipadiguttu on the fifth day of the MLA’s march towards the village.
Speaking on the occasion he said, “The BJP has run a model government in the country and in the State during covid times. MlLA Rajesh Naik has given top priority to roads and drinking water in rural areas, he said and added that being simple and good-natured Rajesh Naik should once again come as a Minister as well as an MLA, he said
State Primary and Secondary Education Minister B. C. Nagesh said that 100 per cent development is 100 per cent development. “The credit for this achievement goes to MLA Rajesh Naik, who has done what we did not do as a Minister,” he said.
State Ports and Fisheries Minister S. Angara said that the people have given power to the party and it should be maintained through development works. Next time, the BJP will come to power in Bantwal and the State without any doubt.
Bantwal MLA Rajesh Naik said, “I had taken out an initial padayatra to thank the 65,000 people who voted despite losing the initial elections. He said he was satisfied with the carving of a peaceful Bantwal in the last four-and-a-half years.
