Mangaluru: MP Nalin Kumar Kateel launched a massive cleanliness movement called ‘Namma Samskruti- Swachh Samskruti’ organised by Dakshina Kannada Zilla Panchayat as part of International Cultural Jamboree at Vamanjoor Junction in the City.
He said that there is a lot of awareness about cleanliness among the people of the District. That’s why Dakshina Kannada Zilla Panchayat got award for cleanliness, he said.
Ramakrishna Matha Seer Sri Jitakamanandaji said that cleanliness is the way to worship in this land and one should pay homage to the environment by picking up garbage.
