Mangaluru: In a heart-wrenching incident on a highway near KPT Circle in Kadri, an elderly couple suffered severe injuries when their scooter was hit by a car. The victims have been identified as Suryanarayana Rao, 65 years old, and his wife Savita, 61 years old, both residents of Kadri, Kambala.
The Tragic Incident
The couple was riding on their scooter, heading from Kadri towards KPT Circle. As they approached the area in front of SKS Planet Apartments, they attempted a U-turn on the highway. However, this routine journey took a devastating turn when a speeding Eeco car, traveling from the Kottara direction, collided with their scooter from behind. The collision was forceful, causing both Mr. Suryanarayana Rao and his wife Savita to be thrown to the ground.

The repercussions of the collision were dire. Mr. Suryanarayana Rao sustained a critical head injury, while his wife, Savita, suffered injuries to her hands and legs.
