Udupi : A state-level Yuvajanaotsava, jointly organized by the Udupi district administration, Zilla Panchayat, Udupi Youth Empowerment and Sports Department, Karnataka State Youth Associations’ Federation, Bengaluru and District Youth Associations’ Okkoota will be held at the District Sports Ground, Mahila Samaj, Town Hall and near to district Indoor Stadium, Ajjarkad here on November 30.
Speaking to media persons at a press meet organised here on Monday, November 27 Minister of State for Youth Empowerment, Sports and Fisheries Pramod Madhwaraj said that various competitions like folk songs, folk dance, classical dance, classical song, solo drama, short elocution, instrumental (Harmonium, Guitar ) etc will be held during the Yuvajanaotsava in Udupi for boys and girls aged between 15 years to 29 years.
More than 1500 participants from 30 districts of the state are expected to participate in the competitions. All the participants, team conveners and department officials will be provided with meals. A committee has been formed under the leadership of Deputy Commissioner of Udupi district.
A dance programme will be performed by Bengaluru team from 5 pm to 6 pm followed by the inaugural of the Yuvajanaotsava at 6 pm at near the Indoor stadium. Later Sahideep team of Shivamogga will conduct singing programme.
Pramod Madhwaraj Minister for Youth Empowerment will inaugurate the state-level Yuvajanaotsava and all the people’s representatives will participate in the inaugural programme.
