Udupi: Attacking Narendra Modi-led central government for not fulfilling its promise of creating jobs for the youth, the District Youth Congress staged a protest on October 24 by locking up the Udupi Head Post Office.
Addressing the protesters, State Youth Congress Secretary, Umesh Bore Gowda said that Narendra Modi had promised two crore jobs a year, but it has failed to create even 10 per cent of the promised jobs.
“The youth, who are the highest number of voters in the country were promised employment by Narendra Modi. Where is the employment? Where is the scope for establishing job-oriented companies. The GDP too has reduced and the nation’s economy has completely collapsed. The Union government is not introducing any new scheme except for renaming the schemes of the previous UPA government,” he alleged.
Vighnesh Kini, District Youth Congress Secretary said that the country has touched highest unemployment rate in last eight years.
The slogan of Narendra Modi and BJP-‘Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas’ has now become ‘Sabka Sath Sabka Vinash’. Narendra Modi’s empty promises and gimmick have failed everyone.
