Speaking to the media in Hubballi today, Joshi said that the increasing number of drug cases in Hubli, Bengaluru, and Mangalore regions is a clear indication of the problem.

He expressed concern that the state government is showing gross irresponsibility in handling drug cases, which is leading to the rise of a drug mafia in the state.

Joshi urged the state government to take immediate and stringent measures to control drugs. He warned that if the government does not act, Karnataka could soon surpass Punjab in the number of drug cases.

“The state should not give any chance to the drug mafia. The state government should immediately wake up in the interest of the youth and students,” Joshi said.
