Ballari: Ministers collect sacred soil and perform pooja at Hampi

Ballari: Higher Education and IT, BT Minister Dr. C. N. Ashwath Narayan, who is also the Vice-Chairman of Kempegowda Development Authority and Revenue Minister R. Ashoka and other Ministers visited Hampi on Friday November 4 to collect the sacred soil.

Home Minister Araga Jnanendra, Youth Empowerment And Sports Minister Narayana Gowda, MP Y. Devendrappa and others were present on the occasion.

The Ministers performed special poojas to Hampi Virupaksheshwara and Bhuvaneswari Devi and later collected soil. In the name of Nadaprabhu Kempegowda and Sri Krishnadevaraya they performed archana.

Earlier in the day, the Ministers were welcomed by BJP leaders at Hampi Kannada University. From there, they took out a bike jatha to Hampi. Later the Ministers along with various art troupes walked up to the Virupaksha Temple.
