Bidar: Municipal Council Member Mallikarjun Bokke and Municipal Commissioner Manoj Kamble sought the blessings of the Basavakalyan Municipal Corporation (BMC) by touching his feet during a visit related to ongoing road construction.
He expressed his displeasure by touching the feet of the municipal commissioner, accusing him of squandering public funds on roads that are already in good condition. Their demand was to halt the road construction project between Rajakamal Hotel and Hulasur Road by the City Corporation and relocate the project to another area.
Construction is underway on roads that are already in good condition in various parts of the city, resulting in the unnecessary rework of these roads. The work has begun in areas where repairs are needed, and many streets in different neighbourhoods are already riddled with potholes. Daily commutes have become challenging for residents. Repair the existing damaged roads, and let’s avoid squandering public funds needlessly,” he urged.
